Comparing Funds Side by Side

Choosing between two or three shortlisted funds is much easier with the numbers lined up directly rather than flipping between separate detail pages and trying to remember the previous fund's figures. This tool lets you search and add up to three funds to a single table showing NAV, and 1/3/5/10-year CAGR side by side, along with each fund's fund house, so structural differences (an actively managed fund versus an index fund, for instance) are visible alongside the return numbers.

Below the table, a NAV growth chart normalises all selected funds to a base of 100 from the start of your chosen period, so you can see the shape of each fund's journey -- not just where it ended up -- with true daily-granularity hover tooltips matching the detail page's own chart. Fetched NAV history is cached for the session, so switching between period filters or revisiting the page during the same browsing session doesn't require refetching data you've already loaded.

Frequently asked questions

Why compare more than just the final return numbers?

Two funds can post similar total returns while taking very different paths to get there -- one steadily, one with sharp swings. The normalised chart makes that difference visible in a way a plain returns table cannot.

Can I compare funds from different categories?

The tool doesn't restrict you to one category, but keep in mind that comparing across very different mandates (say, a debt fund against a small-cap equity fund) mixes fundamentally different risk profiles, so any conclusion should account for that.

Why is NAV history cached per session instead of always fetched fresh?

It keeps the chart stable and avoids unnecessary repeat API calls if you switch period filters back and forth or briefly navigate away and return during the same visit.
